power steering pump question
Can I remove my PS pump without removing the pulley first (350 TPI)? The reason I ask is because AutoZone will pull the pulley for me if I can bring the whole thing in. I haven't torn into it yet, but I plan to tomorrow.

Re: power steering pump question
Yes, but you have to take off the entire driver side accessory bracket, with the PS pump still attached. It's not much fun, but I've done it before. You could always rent a PS pulley puller from autozone, it makes it a lot easier.

Also, pull out your original pressure/flow valve parts. Some of these rebuilders have a one size fits all approach to rebuilding and don't care what gm put in your pump.

Re: power steering pump question
Well, I removed my PS pump (including bracket) and that part was easy, now I cant get the pulley off. I bought my new pump from Advance Auto and I rented a pulley puller but it still won't come off. I sprayed it with PB Blaster and worked with it for two hours, it won't budge
. I guess I'll throw the whole thing in a box and take it to a shop for removal.
