going to junk yard for alternator, but what other cars/truck have a higher output alt
getting ready to go to pull a part . my alternator is extremely weak. had ac on and it was at the line the line between 13 and 8.on my cap it says 12.38 volts. turn on signals and the gauge goes from 13 down to the next line as it blinks. lets not get to my system. i can only run one at a time, ac or system never both.my system makes the gauge go crazy. it actually looks as if the bass hits my car would die. its that bad. oh aslo its an 85 iroc z with v belt alt. what vehicles have a better alt?

A CS140A is what you want. 1995 Lumina van, caprice, or equivalent vehicle. I paid $50 for mine, 140A output. Swap over the pulley from your current one, swap the plug (and add a resistor), and tweak your bracket. Do a search under my name, I made a long thread in the electrical forum with info on it.
