Car: 1992 Camaro Z28 Convertible

Engine: 5.7TPI transplant

Transmission: a4

Axle/Gears: 3.08

1992 RS 305 engine swappage

I just bought a project 1992 RS camaro.

SO, I am getting a donor 305 engine with some nice heads and cam. What am I getting into in order to make this a TPI car. Obviously I need an TPI intake setup, but what other items do I need to make this a reliable day to day car?

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)

Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89

Basically everything that's different between TBI and TPI - the TPI induction stuff, wiring harness & sensors, fuel pump, throttle cables, various hoses, etc.

Make sure the cam is compatible with computer controls.

TPI Swap can be a big undertaking. Your best bet is to find a wrecked donor you can buy cheap, or find one in a junkyard and pull all the parts you can from it. Go with a new fuel pump though, they're too involved to replace to use anything but new.
I swapped mine with parts from a running donor, same year as mine. A lot of work but the payoff was worth it. Flawless swap, the car started on the first try and hasn't missed a beat, except for a few issues not related.
