2-Bolt to 4-Bolt Conversion
Has anyone ever converted their 2-bolt L98 to a 4-bolt? Or, does anyone know if there is any info out there on the proper way to do it. I don't want to risk cracking my block or bearing caps.

Hello Michael.
You should probably go with the splayed 4 bolt conversion, as it'd be virtually the same price, but offer more strength.
Any reason for you to do this upgrade?
You do need a machine shop to do this. They will bolt in the new caps, drill and tap the holes, and line hone the block.

its a machine shop will do it and its not the cheapest thing but its not outrageous either...bottom line is u have to ask yourself do you need it? a 2bolt block with arp main studs can hold 400-450 hp no problem unless uare going to be making over about 500hp or more its a waste of money IMO. Re: 2-Bolt to 4-Bolt Conversion
The reason I'm inquiring, is because I just bought a used L98 from a guy. It came out of a 91 GTA, and the guy had some work done to it. He had the heads ported out, and installed roller-rockers along with a Comp 306 cam; 229/245, .510/.540
I want to throw a 383 stroker kit in it because the bottom end has about 120K miles on it. I just want to make sure that it will hold up.

A conventional straight-drilled 4 bolt block isn't significantly stronger than a 2 bolt block in any way that's going to make a difference.
You could machine it for splayed 4 bolt caps, but you don't need it.
