Need Help?

ok here is the deal. I am building a play car street/strip..just something to have fun with. I have a 88 iroc. The car has subframes, the front and back bumpers have been cut off and there is no back seats..so it should be light..btw the car was almost mint condition when we started. I also have a 4-inch fiberglass hood. I have a 400turbo tranny built ready to go in. It's ready to go except the motor needs to be put together. I have a 400 small block..stock except its gonna be bored 60 over. I have a edelbrock 700cfm carb and edelbrock performer rpm intake.

This is just something to have fun with so what would be a good size cam that you could feel and also hear? i want it to cut up alittle. and what would be a good size stall for recomended cam. I also have to get some new pistons so any suggestions there would help to...thanks to all who reply.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

.060" over on a factory 400 block is a shaky proposition. Have the cylinder walls sonic tested and the whole thing Magnafluxed before spending any other money on machine work.

I have no love lost for Edelbrock carbs. But, whatever you want to do.
