Please help me!!!
Please help me!!!
I just got a 88 GTA Trans Am with a 350TPI in it about two weeks ago. I replaced the MAF because the dealer said that's what the code was. Now Its running even ruffer and it actually stalled a couple times after.... I figured out how to check the codes myself today i I came up with this
34. Low voltage (high vacuum) at mass air flow sensor (or MAP sensor)
As I said, I just replaced the MAF so what the hell do I do now? i herd there are some relays I should check? any help please!!!

i dont listen to dealers... they dont kno a wrench from there sis's titty. i would check the MAF power relay on the driver side firewall... there should be like 3-4 relays that look the same connected to the firewall. the MAF power relay should have orange/red writing on the top saying ... "maf power" thats wat mine said... if not unplug one and turn the key to run, NOT START, if u dont hear the fuel pump kick in a humm then u pulled the wrong one. when u find it bc the engine will run like cr@p... plug it into another relay but not the fuel pump relay and start it, u need the fuel pump to work inorder for the car to run. if it still runs like cr@p... it could be a bad connection at relay or MAF, faulty wiring etc. if it runs better then u need a new relay.
another way to test is to run engine with maf open filter side exposed... turn engine off and the wire filiment in the inside should glow red... u will need 2 ppl for this bc it only happens for a sec.
