355 to 383
I have looked everywhere on the internet and this site to try to find what all you need extra to convert a 355 to a 383 stroker. Can someone tell me, I know you have to get the block machined for clearance of the crank. Is that the only difference is the crank and mabye a bigger cam? Any advice would be appriciated.

Just strictly to change from a 355 to 383, you need a new crank and pistons, if you want the short list. If its a 355, the block's already been bored .030" as a 383 would be. You'd also need all the bearings, hardware, gaskets, etc that one would need to do a basic bottom end rebuild as well.

A new crank and one of new pistons or new rods. No machining of the block is required beyond what it ordinarily needs for a rebuild. Clearancing the block is a manual operation that can be done by hand with a die grinder.
