Transmission: automatic, auto( for now)
brand spanking new

does anybody know where i could get a brand new 350 carburated engine???
i've got to replace my 2.8 v6 and i wanted a 350

Check your local regulations about putting a carbed motor in a body that wasn't available with a carb. (emissions regs)
Here's a popular complete engine, the 330 hp Vortec.

i was told that my engine was a carb, i haven't actually got the car yet so i can't check, were the v6's not carbed?

Your 2.8 is multi-port fuel injected. (MPFI) Most states will not let you put a carb'd motor when It was only available with fuel inj. I would reccomend you look for a fuel injected motor. You could always buy a longblock 350 from your local auto parts store, then look here for a complete tpi setup. (engine/drivetrain parts for sale)
