Troubleshooting help

I need some help in troubleshooting starting problems with my 85 IROC with the 305 TPI. It has become increasingly hard to start. I used to just bump the key and it would fire right up. Now, I have to crank it for 5 to 10 seconds, two or three times in order for it to start. If it has sat for a couple of days, it usually fires right up. I drive the car daily and it is always hard to start. When it does finally fire, it idles rough and drives like it's flooded. Sometimes, I have to open it up to clear it out. I recently replaced the plugs and air filters, and am currently running some B12 Chemtool injector cleaner through it. I also plan on cleaning the throttle body and have purchased some cleaner for the mass air flow sensor. I would really like to solve this problem without having to take it to the shop. Am I on the right track for solving these problems, or should I be doing something else? Thanks.

SPARK OF AN IDEA

Hook up a spark tester.

Monitor for spark as soon as you start cranking.
