changed maf, now have code 33, car was running ok with code, now car will only run if i give it gas, as soon as i take my foot off gas pedal, it dies and i have to give it gas to even start it up now, any help would be greatful 87 gta 350

 

So, why did you change the MAF? Did it have a code 33 before?

 

How is your fuel pressure?

 

It had a code 34 so i went and got a maf, now i has a code 33, now the car only starts if i give it gas. I havent had a chance to check fuel pressure, i have to get that from my buddy sometime this week. but car ran alot better before i changed maf

 

Disconnect the battery cable, wait 15 minutes and reconnect it.

 

i disco battery for just a minute or 2, not 15, didnt think it would make a difference, i will try that when i get back home

 

long story short, car was running fine, but had code 34(i needed code out to pass inspection) in it, i put new maf, now i have code 33, i changed maf relay and maf power relay and still have code 34 or 33 depending on which maf i have in it. the car will only start/run if gas is given, im trying to get back on road this week, any help would be appreciated. thanks, 87 gta 350
