86 Z28--Code 36

I just got an 86 Z28(305 TPI, Auto Trans) and it has the check engine light on. The guy I bought it from said he got a code 36. He mentioned it might be the mass airflow sensor. Would there be more problems if it was going out? And is there direction to go with this code? Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Burn-off relay. Pretty commonly replaced item.

I have now exhausted my knowledge on the topic. Sorry.
