Bigger Injectors??

I have a 1991 Camaro Z28 with a 5.7 TPI engine. The mods to the engine are: bored .30 over, ported heads, 1.6 roller rockers, a hydraulic roller cam lift .495/.502 (here is a link to the cam specs http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=CCA-08-422-8&autoview=sku), mini-ram intake with adjustable fuel regulator, 58 mm holley throttle body.

I currently have 22lb injectors and was wondering if I need to go bigger. I have checked online with some of those calculators online to see with size I need and according to them I need to go bigger but I'm not sure how accurate they are.

It'll be close. I would just go ahead and change to save some time. Some Ford 24lber's. OR you can get the current setup together and tuned. If you have a problem with the engine running lean even after adding fuel in the tuning, AND you have adequate fuel pump, that's a good sign of needing larger injectors. Good luck!

If you are looking for larger injectors....24lbs we have "remanufactured" ford motorsports in stock for $140.99 with a 5 year warrantee. If you just want your injectors cleaned we can do that to!

Re: Bigger Injectors??

The online calculators aren't all that accurate.
For my build I checked several calculators. 3 different ones gave me numbers ranging from 30 to 36lb injectors. You can always program the ecm if you're too big.
The surefire way of knowing if you need larger injectors is to read a wide band O2 sensor while going full throttle. Unfortunately this doesn't tell you what size you need.
