oil pressure/temp hookups

Axle/Gears: 3.42
oil pressure/temp hookups
i got a 82 camaro from a buddy with a 70 something 350 in it, he has aftermarket gauges ran in it, i want to have the factory ones hooked up, is the temp and oil pressure gauges mechanical liek the aftermarket ones or were they electric in 82? can anyone post a pic or diagram showing what wire or connector should be used for these

um they should be electric. thats what they are in my 87 and 86. i have TPI tho. they have wiring diagrams in the HAYNES manuals. i suggest u pick one up

All guages are electric. How are the aftermarket gauges wired ? Did they just unplug the old wires and hook them up to the new gauges.

i dont go on newyorkfbody, i have not a clue where the stock wires are, but i got the aftermarket ones working right so ill just leave em for now
