power steering question

I converted over from tpi to carb awhile ago. Now I am changing all of the accessories and I have a question about the power steering. Do you have to keep the super long hard line that runs along the radiator or can I take that out and use two short lines?

thanks in advance

Re: power steering question

If I correctly understand what you're referring to, those are there to cool the power steering fluid, and should be kept.

Re: power steering question

A lot do. Some people might not even know it's there. It cools via heat transfer. Fluid travels through the tube, the heat then passes from the fluid to the tube, where airflow over the tube cools the tube down.
