Royal Purple Break-in Oil

The booklet that came with my GMPP crate engine advises avoiding synthetic oil for the first 1000 miles. But you might expect from the name that a "break in oil" would be ideal. Would I be better to go with a conventional high zinc oil instead? This is a roller engine so perhaps I'm being overly cautious. I just want to ensure that I do the best that I can for the first start up and subsequent break in.
Thanks,
Jon

Re: Royal Purple Break-in Oil

Royal Purple just emailed me to say that their Break In oil is, in fact, conventional. It says 'Synthetic' on the bottle because the company name is Royal Purple Synthetic INC so it says that on all their stuff - part of the brand.
