White smoke comming from 305
Alright.. i live in Ontario so the winter months have almost passed completely.. today its warm so i decided to bring the camaro out of the garage and wash all the dust off it.. i started it up and it starts SMOKING! it went away cause i let it run for a minute.. but im curious as to why it was doing it.. the white smoke was comming from the back/bottom part of the motor and from where the hooker headers are for roughly 10 seconds.. there is a coolent leak at the bottom of the water neck. i dont know if the smoking is just a normal thing after being put away or something is wrong. but thats all i know. all your opinions will be appreciated!

white smoke = coolant burning
It could be spraying on the exhaust ? or at worst
A blown head gasket.
You can get that water neck fixed, and get some UV die,
Check if your leaking anywhere with a blacklight.

Ya thats exactly what i was thinkin to and i should probably change the oil to. Also i wanted to change the thermostat to a hypertech one to go with my hypertech chip so im guessing thats located under the water neck? if so is it easy to change?

The Thermo is very easy to change, make sure you put it in right, so the flow is going the right way. Make sure your cooling lines are in good shape as well.

Yea np
That UV die kit you can pick up at auto zone for like 10$ comes with a neat lil pen black light, goggles, which i use to cut wood with, they block out the bright light but you can see great, they aid in the UV detection also.
Do it after you replace the hose thou, since thats a gimme spot you need to fix, and your cooling system will thank you !
When your checking with the light, be sure and check under the pass dash just in case the heater core might be leaking.
Post back if it gets fixed or not
