whatsup guys, a few months ago i scooped up a nice 86 iroc with a tpi 350 under the hood an id really like to kno what it came from. it has a mafs an the alt is on the upper left(looking from the front), i thought fbody alts were on the right? maybe im wrong. is there a vin# on this badboy somewhere?

Souns like the stock setup. The v-belt setups had the alt on the upper passenger side (Clock position 10) and the serpentine setups had them on the drivers side. (Clock position 2) 1986 would have been the v-belt setup. However the 350 was not offered in 1986. It's a common swap though. How do you know it's a 350? (And not a 305?) the 8th digit of your vin should be a "F". If so, then your car came equipped with the TPI 305.
