A compression ring put a light scratch at top of cylinder?
I installed std pistons with std cast rings in the 350 for my brothers nova. I turned the crank to position the second crank journal at its lowest point to install pistons #3 and #4. I looked into cylinders 1 and 2 and noticed that cylinder #2 had a minor scratch (you can't even get your finger nail to catch on it or feel it). I guess I didn't debur enough edge off one of the compression rings ends. Is this going to cause any big problems?
I don't expect this to be a 100,000 mile engine. It's just for a weekend cruiser. It will see maybe 30,000 miles at the most.
Should I pop the piston back out and file the edge of the ring and reinstall or what?

A file is probably far too coarse, I'd go with emery paper. And one little scratch at the top isn't a problem. You just don't want to be greating alot of scratches in the middle of the cylinders. That could eat the piston skirts, sending bits of metal all through the engine.
