heater/ac controller problem? or normal?
this could be normal but i dont see how
inside the car i put the slide switch all the way to hot
i put the vent switch all the to right which blows air to the windshield
now its been doing this but never thought anything of it.
the ac pump within the belt serpintine system comes on for 2secs then off
waits 5 or so seconds and comes on and off again
it continues this untill i turn the slider switch to off
now if i wanted ac of course it stays on to pump/prime the ac condensor
and the car supplies cold and hot air like it should
but that on/off every 5-10 seconds of the ac pump is just weird
anyone have this problem or is not a problem at all?

Re: heater/ac controller problem? or normal?
if it cycles on/off when it's turned to the defrost setting, which i believe is all the way to the right, even when on hot, it's normal. the a/c compressor cycles on/off in that mode to help prevent condensation forming.
