new build which block to use?
well decided to ditch the turbo build i was going to do and go all motor. well anyway ive got two 2pc blocks one is a 2bolt 69 350 virgin bore (3932388) and a (3970010) but i havent torn it down yet. either way block will be studded mains scat stroker crank scat forged cleranced rods and a good forged piston. ill be running brodix ik200 heads also. im shooting for low 11's in my 82. ill have to be easy on the rear for awhile till i blow it or can aford a 9" or 12bolt. anyway either block better than the other for what im shooting for?

I would get the one torn down and probably get both checked out by a machine shop. You may also want to get 4-bolt main caps on them (machine shop again). This will reinforce anything you are doing. Make sure the blocks are in good shape and all. Probably go with a roller cam to help reduce friction to get you to where you want to be.

yeah i was thinking about taking apart the other and dropping both off to get them checked. im going to go ahead and order crank and rods but really would like to wait on the ms until i order the pistons.

nothing wrong with flat tappet solid cams
pretty easy to lash valves under the hood of a 3rd gen.
try to lash valves on a 4th gen, f$*k that, never going solid in a 4th gen street car again.
do u have those brodix heads alredy?
my 383 with edelbrock heads went 10.8 on motor with vic jr.
selling the intake and heads now. they flow 250cfm
