What machine work would I have to have done if I buy this block?

It's a Dart Block. The company I'm buying it from says it would need a wash, final hone, and cam and freeze plugs installed. Is there anything else I would need to get done before I began to assemble?

Thanks for your help.

Once you have your pistons and get them measured for the final hone. Have it washed/tanked install bearings/plugs and you should be good to go. It wouldn't hurt to check the bearing clearances though. I'd also check the mains...they shouldn't need to be line honed...but never hurts to check.

The early SHP blocks had problems with the line bores being out, so you'll definitely want to check that. You'll also want to doulbe check that the decks are square with a BHJ fixture and final hone it to the piston manufacturers specs.
