my 1990 camaro has a problem with the Vats security system the security light will stay on unless I jiggle the key inside the ignition and then if the security light turns off then it starts like a champ but if it does not I have to wait a bit to try again around 3-4 minutes. If the security light is on and I try to start it it will just crank but it will not start. Do I have to change the whole steering column? is it possible to change the steering switch were the key goes into?
