Fuel pump wont kick on

I replaced the fuel filter and thermostat on a 91 rs 3.1 v6 today and the engine was working pretty good. Well the linkage to the tranny is kind of messed up something to do with the cord. Probably need to replace it. I jacked up the car to shift it into drive and drive it around started the car while still in the air had dad climbed into the car and pushed the car off the jack as soon as the car hit the ground the car stalled and now won't crank back up. I know the fuel pump is good because I just replace it last week. I can't hear the fuel pump kick on at all when I turn the key to the on position so I figure it's a power connection checked the connectors on top of the fuel pump it seems fine. I don't know what else to do or even where to start but I'm willing to listen, learn and try.
