Quick Timing/Tuning Question

If I retard the base timing just enought to stop some annoying detonation will I have to tune the carb? I've got an edelbrock performer carb and no computer, vacuum advance...

Re: Quick Timing/Tuning Question

you might have to mess the with the idle screws depending on how much you retard it. wont have to touch the main jets though. my 2 cents

Retarding the timing will have the running rich effect.
