Anyone else have msd street fire wires
I was installing my carb and while i was at it i dropped in my dizzy to check any clearance issues. I bought some street fire wires a while back and decided to wire them up, see how i'll run them and put the looms on. I don't know if its just me, maybe I don't know what I'm doing. but the boot ends that go on the dizzy have the metal clips sticking wayyy out. they're huge! the boot won't even go over the post. I've added some pics, let me know if they're supposed to be this way and i have to cut them or something or if mine are defective or wrong for the app. thx
as you can see they're all like that.

I dont have thoes wires but i might be able to help were thoe pre-made or a universal type deal where you have to crimp the ends on and put the rubber boots on? It looks like eather youve got a set for the wrong application or they were assembled wrong because that style end i dont think is right for your application. The style thats on there looks like its not the type that clips on to post like on an HEI distributor they look like the type thats meant to be pushed into a cap. Kinda get what im sayin? Reason is first the boot is too short but wouldnt be for the type thats actually pushed into the cap and also if you look at the plug ends themselves the round potrutions are on the oustide of the connector again as if to make contact to something it was plugged into not clipped onto like the style you have. All and all ide say you have the wrong wires just my guess though.

Correct. Your distributor cap has male terminals. Your wires are made for female terminals.
