Parts swapping

Hey guys, couple of questions on swapping from a pre 87 block to a post 87 block....

1) can I reuse the oil pan?
2) can I swap the pistons from one engine to the other?
3) can I use my retro fit roller lifters instead of the oem roller lifters?

thanks!

Re: Parts swapping

Oil pan, no. Pistons, yes, but you may create a balance issue. Lifters, no, because the bosses in the later blocks are taller.
