Well, not sure if im in the right section, but i know physically the plastic 4th gen tanks swap with the 3rd. I also know the sending units are different, but will the older style fit/lock in place on the plastic tanks?? has it been done or attmepted?? i dont want to buy a different tank and it dont work. I want to shave a little bit of weight and not have to worry about rust....

 

anybody??? maybe ill try to get to the yard this week and find one to test out...
