maby your power steering pump siezed for a moment. After, was it hard to steer? how was the brakes. are they still good. Is your car equipt with cruise control? Need a little more info to narrow this down. drive around and make some turns but be carefull not to lose control of the vehicle.
Re: not your typical problem...or is it?
no it was fine to steer. it just chugs and stutters when i turn. brakes were fine. the car did have cruise control but i changed the wiper stick thing a long time ago and never hooked it back up. i dont think being out of steering fluid would cause it to die just make it hard to turn. it completely died the other day...at an intersection..of course and i had to push it to a church parking lot lol. but i got it started today and the rpms are a little high 1500 compared to like 600 where it usually is. but i think it may be the throttle linkage cable is braided steel and that may have frayed and is getting hung up on something i'll keep you posted and thanks for the ideas!!
