Car: 87 camaro
Engine: 305 soon to be a 350
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 383's i think?
what to get

i'm looking to spend between 600-700 hundred for parts for my car it has the lg4 305 what would be the best upgrades everything is stock on the motor lookin to get some more horse and torqe

a good bang for the buck on these cars is headers and down pipe. youll really notice the difference in power. also a catback exhaust system would go nicely with it aswell.

I'd go with a 350 swap, if you're good at DIY and have a Pick-N-Pull nearby. It can be done well on that budget. Alternately, start with a better axle ratio. It'll be easier to feel either of these than playing with the exhaust.

with swapping gears in the rear end its alot more extensive than putting on some exhaust bolt ons. keep in mind hes also on a budget. and you do need alot of tools to re do your own rear end. but it would be a good mod if hes some experience with differentials before.
