'Clunker' rebates in peril

That's the headline on the front page of my paper this morning. Woohoo!

Seems the program has already run out of money.

Now, I'm feeling a little relief for all of the third gens that may not be headed for the scrapper.

I am doing awesome! But I have to put a heater core in my car in the morning. I am NOT looking forward to that, especially after reading some of the threads on here about it.

On the other hand, I have two of my club friends coming over for an assist (and assist only, since I want to do the work). I just don't want to screw it up, lol!

I know the story has been done to death, but now maybe it will die.

Program just got more money. On the bright side, if your vehicle is 25 years or older, it does not qualify.

Re: 'Clunker' rebates in peril

Just watched a few videos on youtube of the cars/trucks they've been disabling, some of them were pretty damn nice drivers :/ But yeah, they got another 2 BILLION for the program since the 1 billion wasn't enough. There was over a 100 cars turned in at one dealer earlier in the week near here, crazy.
