Re: CYLINDER HEADS

All 3 are good heads. I was going to go with Canfield 220's a while ago. They do flow really well. They are based off of the older nascar PONTIAC 867 head. Can't go wrong with any of them. Flow numbers sometimes don't mean that much.

Re: CYLINDER HEADS

all 3 of these heads will make torque, just higher in the rpm range. IMO, if was using a brodix aluminum with a carillo rods and a bryant, i would not waste my money on a 23 degree head. Go straight for the 18 degree or 15 degree. But the cam seems small.

Re: CYLINDER HEADS

i would go more on the duration. Lift and lobe sep seem OK. I have a 270/274 in my 383sbc.

Re: CYLINDER HEADS

ok well here are the numbers on the cam --intake 19--43 exhaust 54 --14--- @.050 242---248-----what would you change the numbers to-- to keep it in the 4000--6000 range with peak torque being at 6000

Re: CYLINDER HEADS

you might want to stick with that cam then, if yu want peak tq at 6000. with that cam your on 106 lobe sep and probaly 102 intake centerline. that is advanced alittle so that will help out peak torque numbers.
