power steering stiff
hi i just replaced my power steering pump and resivore as their was a crack and small leak in it. i also replaced the pressure and return lines but when test driving my car the steering was stiff like is their was little fluid in it but when i checked the reading sead that at cold it was full. the steering was fine befor the replacmeant of the pump i just had to make sure thair was fluid in it. so what would cause the steering to be so stiff it dosent make any nose so i dont know what to check.

Re: power steering stiff
do you have the pressure and return lines hooked up backwards?
Re: power steering stiff
i dont know how i could the pressure line has metal ends and thread into the pump and the return is just rubber line thats hose clamped on. the more i drive it the better it gets. i think it may be air whats the proper steps for bleeding the power steering system?
