Does it matter where I install the sensors into the head? Are the head sensor locations the same as the L98 heads?

I've been running my vortec tpi setup a while now and my knock sensor needed replacing. When I removed it I found out it was in a coolant passageway. Is that right?

Just realized the knock sensor is actually in the block, so i guess all the sensors go in the same place as vortec heads.
