Re: Need help

Well a blm of 129 is pretty good. I cant recall what ideal readings are for those sensors but if theres no check engin light and the car runs fine my guess is that it needs a tune up, air injection system needs help, or a new cat unfortunately. 129 BLM means its making virtually no corrections to the fuel delivery. How far are you off by?

Re: Need help

off by about 70ppm on hc at 15mph. i've had a problem with burning oil for a while, found out i had valves overtightened. fixed that problem, replaced the burned 02 sensor, was running great until i reset the computer. i'm thinking i burned up the cats too, because all of a sudden it blew smoke on me again and it smells really rich. might just have to suck it up and spend the 350 on cats.

Re: Need help

129 blm is almost perfect, perfect being 128.
0 is taking out the max
255 is adding in the max
128 is right in the middle

Now when u say it was running great till you reset the comp what has changed? Thats odd that its running a 129 bml's and smell like your running rich? Burning oil might account for a thing or two though.

Re: Need help

yeah. nearest i can figure it through all the crap i put the cats through, the burning oil and a defective ignition module causing a couple of nice backfires. i think the cats are fried. once i reset the computer and through it back into relearn, which i think we can agree takes WAY too long, it just has to remember the settings.
