few tuning questions and misc one

I just put a 350 carbed motor in my 84z28. Has 416 heads...lunati
00010lk cam....480 lift 108 lsa. 1406 edelbrock. When I go to set the timing
I unplug the vac advance and plug everything up. The car is sitting about
50 degrees. When I retard it down...I get to around 20 and after that the car dies.
I have to advance it back to run. The dist was stabbed cprrectly.
I can get the car to idle at anything below 1000 without it dying when put
In gear. Also at idle..above 1k right now...I have fuel coming out of my primary
Boosters. Does that mean my fuel pressure is to high?

One more...I have a th350 in the car.........the tranny crossmember
The ribber mount that is on the tranny and goes through the crossmember...
How does that atacht to thw crossmember? I might be missing a piece.

Re: few tuning questions and misc one

Try this: reconnect the Vacuum advance, then set the initial timing at 30, including the vacuum advance. Next, turn the engine off. Now, will it re-start? It should.
