What Are These?

my bud recently bought a 1985 Camaro with a 305 4bbl, all stock motor.

while poking around the engine bay, we came across a couple of things behind the driver's side headlight assembly that neither of us could identify.

please take a look and if you know what they are, tell me

one is what appears to be a plastic sphere, but it's currently covered in duct tape. the other is a mess of wires and vacuum lines.

thanks!

Re: What Are These?

The sphere is the vacuum reserve and is supposed to be mounted under the tray, not in it

The other object with lines and wires is the cruise unit

Re: What Are These?

They run your cruise control. The sphere provides a vacuum "reserve" for the cruise control, and the other part is what controls the throttle when you engage the cruise.
