Smog pump removal belt

Hey guys, I am deleting the smog pump. I went to Autozone and Advanced and gave them the part number for the belt (Dayco 968K6) and nothing came up. What part number are you guys using?

Thanks

Re: Smog pump removal belt

If you are pulling the smog pump off, why would you even want the smog pump belt?

Re: Smog pump removal belt

your part # is correct if the car had a serp. set-up to begin with . but , the routing is different . i think the 968k6 is a little longer than stock . anyway ck. routing on main page mods. . there are several shown , make sure you get the right one ( one shows minus a p/s pump ) . good luck .

Re: Smog pump removal belt

If you are serpentine, it doesn't have to be a delco, any belt will work - the part number refers to 96.8 inches long, and the 6 means 6 ribs - thus 968K6 - but they won't necessarily have that exact size - just get it close as possible (ie they might have a 96.5 in belt). I had to make 2-3 trips to get the right belt, as the 96.5 was a tad too long and I got a 96in I think.
