coolant from where?...

so the saga continues with my new toy... saturday after i get home i noticed somke from the pass side of my car... thinking i broke the tv cable from too much moving it at the trans and was loosing fluid from the hole i checked it out nope!!! so further investigation lead me to nothing i can not find a thing but i did however find what seems to be coolant coming from the head gasket on the outer just below the #8 flowing along the starter which would fit the smell as it seemed like trans fluid from the smell and was very light in color and density... could it just be spray from an other coolant line hole running around since theres alot of them... and get this no pool of coolant or anything after it has sit... HAS ANYONE HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE? i will be getting it on a rack this friday and to see if it is in fact that but what would you all do the exhaust is perfect no moisture no smoke nothing plug is wonderful as well...

i have seen coolant running from back of intake gasket run down in same area as you have described, get a mirror and a pressure tester to make sure coolant is not coming from above first

Re: coolant from where?...

There are lots of coolant lines on the pass side.
I had something similar happen to me before. Turns out the black coolant diverter box had a cracked nipple. It ran back along the valve cover and went down at the rear of the block.
