EGR Block-off plate?

Just curious, I've seen people do it in honda's and such.. But would blocking off the EGR really do any good? Would it negatively effect how the motor runs?

If you are looking for more power, forget that idea and move on. EGR is inactive at WOT.

Ok. I figured it was pointless but i've seen alot of import guys in my area doing it.

And no, i have nothing against imports.
