Quick question?
Quick question?
I know this is prolly a dumb*** question and i'll kick myself later but never done this so its new to me. Tearing my engine down for removal and replacement and I can't get the distributor to come off. I have the hold down bracket pulled off it and the intake manifold. I can slide it up aways and then it sticks. Didn't know if because the shaft is splined if I have to rotate it or what. Like said, never done this before, lol. Didn't know if there were any tips or trick to getting it out or just yank on it till it pops out. Learned it better to ask before you start forcing things out tho, lol, thanks in advance

Re: Quick question?
Pull and twist. Carbon's probably built up on the shaft making it difficult.
I had one that I had to use a prybar to aid in removal.

Re: Quick question?
K,thats what I was wondering. I wanted to be sure before I go get the bar out. I figured it just pulled out but I can't afford the replace the distributor so i'm trying not to screw up,lol. Thanks for the help
