Fuel pump..?

Fuel pump..?
I have noticed my idle getting worse and a studder EVERY time i gas it enough to get over 2k. Its even like i don't have sudden pick-up, but a slow climb in rpms.
So my 0-60 is approximately 3.5 days.
Stupid question, But would a fuel pump cause this shiza?
Also what else could cause a lack in power... aside from being a v6.. :P

clogged fuel filter, clogged cat, short in a plug wire, vacuum leak, bad fuel injector, and on and on. Fuel pumps generally work or they don't - they usually just go out all of a sudden without warning.

Well I bought new Fuel filter, cat-back, wires, plugs, cleaned the throttle body and intake, New air filter..
The only thing that ever came to my mind is fuel delivery.. to me that may be fuel pressure regulator, injectors or pump... and i know the timing is a bit off, but i will be ATTEMPTING to fix that soon..

I just wanted an opinion on what is best to look at first.. If i have to buy all that stuff then so be it.. -_-

Every pump I've had had go bad was On or Off, no in between or ON/OFF, back & forth.I was look more towards the ignition side of things, since would almost seem to be something affecting all 6 cylinders.

Only thing ignition wise i would be able to do and haven't changed is the coil. 
If its anything more than that i would have no clue where to start..
Is there any kind of ignition module or something i should look for?
Also i don't know if i agree with the fuel pump just being good or nothing.. Not saying you guys are wrong, But My old man recently change the fuel pump in his Dodge 250 and it has a VERY noticeable power gain..

Keep it simple - check the basics first. New plug wires are often bad - test continuity on each plug wire for a short. Make sure each wire is securely on the plug and dizzy. Check vacuum leaks - spray a can of carb cleaner all around the intake and around any vacuum lines - if idle increases, you have a leak in that area. Double check firing order. Usually these issues are from the stupid small easy things we tend to overlook.
