I Feel So Stupid
today i did an oil & lube on my car . getting ready for 'cruisin the coast' . for some reason the oil filter was very hard to removed . anyway i got it off , had to pry with a long screwdriver on filter wrench . got it off , i was happy . started car to remove from lift , oil press. went up and dropped to zero . i said W.T.F. , raised car back up on lift . as i supected , i had broken oil press. sensor . simple oil change cost me twice of what it should have . anyway i will have a better filter wrench before next oil change . just a heads-up if anyone has the same problem , look out for the sensor . good luck , cheers . ( DAMN , even an old Phart like me can goof-up )

I've had this one for over 30 years. It has never failed me.

Re: I Feel So Stupid
yep, broke the sensor off once on my wife's 98 v6 camaro. It is right above the filter and I was trying to get it from the top. It is a ton easier from the bottom, I was just being lazy, bumped it and ended up costing me $25 and a 40 minute round trip to autozone.
