need help with speedometer wiring
I have a 91 z28 with a 350 TPI. I recently spun a rod bearing and pulled the motor/tranny to rebuild. Through the process i decided to go carburated and eliminate the ecm. I was planning on selling the tpi and harness so i pulled the entire harness. I kept the tcc plug, all the relays, and everything i would need to keep gauges working except one important plug........the speedometer. My question is can i get the original gm plug and wire it to the speedo wire in the dash?? if so, how do i go about this?? and if not, what are my options. The car has a vss and i left all the wires going through the driver side of the firewall. any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: need help with speedometer wiring
Depends on year ;
one has VSS signal going to the computer then dash ; the other goes to dash then computer.
Can't recall which years are which
Might have to get aftermarket speedo

Re: need help with speedometer wiring
thank you for the resonse and i was trying to avoid an aftermarket speedo because i would have to re-do the entire cluster when i had one that was completely functional. i guess i'll try to reconnect the wires and i'll update how it goes. thanks again for the response
