Heard loud pop and car is down
I'm riding my monsta scooter and saving gas but not by choice. What's shorting?
Tuesday AM, started to turn key as normal, seemed to be that before key got to crank position lost all power to everything.
Wednesday replaced old battery, its almost winter anyway. Double checked new battery 700 cca, fully charged, so installed. Dome light came on, stated to slowly turn key, but... seemed to be that before key got to crank position lost all power to everything. Disconnected battery.
Friday, all fuses look good. All wiring looks good, not melted or disconnected. Reconnected battery, dome light came on, started to slowly turn key and this time got to the crank position, and as soon as the key got to crank position HEARD A POP FROM PASSANGER SIDE and immediately lost power to everything. Disconnected battery.
What's the most likely problems and solutions?

Re: Heard loud pop and car is down
unfortunately GM put a fuseable link in one of the main power wires all the way down by the starter (
) sounds to me like that is probably the problem.
best of luck-
