1989 chevy 350 tbi fouled plugs

new edelbrock top end 30,000 orig. mi. new everything (really)passed smog sooo clean the tech could'nt believe it. ran awsome for a month,then barely got home(15 mi.)plugs sooty and two were wet (gas)cleaned and gapped them, went down the road great for another 3 wks then did it again.the only ign. parts that are not new are the control mod. and coil,spark test shows an orange spark but it's there.by the way plug wires are msd 8mm.I'm going bonkers! any ideas?!!!!

i'll look at that tomorow but from what I remember they were an even spray on the throttle plates ,what is it 'sposed to look like?

what about ign. coil,pick-up coil and control mod. or maybe the o2 sens./ temp. switch?the spark is yellow,looks week to me.I'm doing the best I can with limited tools.thanx for anything that mite set me straight!, R

hey jamon8, checked out the injector mist? looks more like a spray....an even one though. did you read my last entry? seems like weak spark to me but how can it go from awsome to undrivable without the check egine soon light coming on?
I'm new at this forum thing sorry 'bout that guys. I'll get it.

get a multimeter and we can go through the tests on the ign

they are like 10 bucks

the info i give is in the helms manual and chilton

it will save you money in the long run by not throwing parts at the car

hello jamon8, I've got dvom and a chilton manual.
Where do we start? I'm not new to this stuff but ecms' and the various supporting components are not my fourtay.

check the resistance on your coil and your pickup coil

take the ign mod to autozone or one of those and get it tested

the pickup coil is located inside the dissy

the wires that hook up to the ign mod are from the pickup coil and can be measured right there
