cam thrust plate torque specs

Axle/Gears: Stock Crap
cam thrust plate torque specs

I found online for a ford it should be 8 - 10 ft/lbs, do you think it is the same for a 305 sbc? Can't seem to find the spec anywhere.

Sounds about right, I'd make it "snug" and not worry too much about the actual torque value.

The only reason I'm interested is because I already broke a bolt off in the block the last time I tried to install the cam plate. Just wondering if anybody knew for a fact.

The 96 FSM says 106 in/lbs NOT ft/lbs - 12 N-m
