I've got a complete '66 327 from a corvette, so says the castings anyways. It was the 300hp engine. I was originally planning on putting it in an 84 z28, but i was informed that I could get serious cash from it instead, then build whatever I wanted (dreaming of TPI 383 stroker)
Any thoughts?

Re: '66 327
Sell it to some collector. Although the engine will fit, trying to hook up accessories will be difficult. The 1966 heads won't have accessory bolt holes plus numerous other issues with an antique engine. Technology has changed a lot since them. There are much better choices for an engine in a more modern car.

I concur with AlkyIROC. Sell it and put the money towards some more modern goodies. The money you get for it would also be a nice starter for saving towards that 383...

Of course, it's also only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Unless the person telling you that knows of a buyer, don't believe you'll get a huge amount of money. Only someone looking for a specific engine will be willing to pay a fair amount to obtain it.

Re: '66 327
Thanks for the input. I didn't plan on using the stock heads on it so I could use normal accessory brackets, but now I plan on putting this 327 on the market. Thanks again for the advice
