new distributor?

I'm in the process of finishing up my rebuild and am wondering if I should get a new distributor? The old one looks a little rusty and has 110K miles on it. Should I get a new one and if so what would be a stock replacement for my car? 1990 RS 305 TBI

Thanks!

Re: new distributor?

Unless you've got some compelling reason to replace it (ie. it's broken), I'd just reuse it.

Re: new distributor?

check were the coil contacts to the rotor and make sure there isnt a burn mark and check the springs and bushings on your weights are good and if so just reuse it if not buy a rebuild kit for the distributor

No springs, bushings, or weights on a TBI distributor.
