bowtie vs vortec

which of these heads are better? i was planing on getting the vortecs but the deal i found fell through and now i cant seem to find a pair for under 250 shipped in stock from or 350 shipped ready to go

i found a pair of the bowties all done up for a good price and i know they're a good head but how do they compare to the vortecs?

The Vortec's are better. They are the best production head GM ever built. Look up scoggins and dicky, you should be able to get a set shipped around $250 or $275 unless they raised their prices.

The new GMPP "Bowtie" Vortec heads are the cats meow. Small or big port, ready to rock for up to .530 lift. Either, is way ahead of the 062-906 OEM vortecs or the old conventional "Bowtie" 034 casting heads.
