so i got a blue 87 with t tops v6 2.8 the air box has no clips to keep it closed which is giving me a popping noise if i go hard on the throttle. any suggestions on where to get a new air box setup? also when the car starts cold the oil pressure is solid, up around 50 if not more. when she warms up if im not on the gas the pressure will dip on the gauge. as soon as i accell she comes right back up. i noticed my gas gauge fluxing sometimes too. could it be just faulty gauges? the idle is low and choppy going from around 500 to 700. can i adjust the idle myself or do i need my mechanic to do it. i know its not like a carbed car that you just adjust the idle screw.....i checked the oil and it full(was reading some other posts on oil pressure). i was thinking of doing a fuel injector cleaner treatment cuz god know when they had any service. any thoughts on fuel injector cleaner? good bad or otherwise? and finally i have another 87 bird im parting have to good headlight motors,hatch and hood struts,hood and hatch fenders, some interior plastics, pretty much anything i dont have a need for is up for grabs. for the big stuff, im on long island you can pick it up if you want it, can post pics for those interested in anything. thanks
